It's race season again, and on Saturday, April 2, the Western Carolina Physical Therapy Student Association hosts its third annual Spring Sprint 5K. According to information on the event, "The proceeds will be used first for a donation to the Marquette Challenge and second for professional development of the class of 2012."
Runners should meet at Western Carolina University near the picnic area in the overflow parking lot by the field. Start time is 9:30 a.m. The race is relatively flat and loops through the WCU campus.
Pre-registration has closed, but interested runners can register on race day. $20. Awards go to the top three overall males and females.
