Remember the late, great Cookie LaRue? Well, rumor has it (and that rumor comes from Michale Sheldon, Cookie's creator) that Cookie's second cousin Lorna Doone will make an Asheville appearance this Friday, April 1 at Tressa's.

According to a press release, "Since Cookie’s untimely death in October of 2010 Lorna has graciously filled Cookie's commitments in many venues though out the world and in many cities as well. Legally blind in 49 states, Lorna has worked the Gospel/Country Western Circuit since she was 8 years old!"
Reported, critic have raved, “One amazing train wreck of a performer-guaranteed to make you question life (and death) as you know It!” and “She’s not Cookie LaRue-but she showed up on time, was relatively sober and a pleasure to watch . . . are they really related?!”
Two shows are scheduled — 11 p.m. and 1 a.m., with a guest DJ spinning dance music all night and "a very special surprise guest from afar."
