Besides feeling good about themselves, what exactly was accomplished by the protesters? Did Progress Energy have a revelation and decide to go 100% green?
Really what was accomplished outside of self-satisfaction and a completion of "works" in the green religion?

Nuclear is bad. Coal is bad. Gas and oil is bad. It is now known that wind turbines kill about 400,000 birds per year so they're out too I guess.
I've got a plan though. About 6.8 billion people need to remove themselves from the planet. A couple hundred million of us will live in temperate places, maybe use a little hydro and tidal power and all will be well.

I am for nuclear power ... but I do understand protesting ... it is not about feeling goof about yourself!! It is about getting attention and they accomplished that!
