An interactive map connecting citizens to abuser treatment, domestic violence, displaced homemaker and sexual assault programs funded by the N.C. Council for Women (CFW) has been posted to its website at http://www.councilforwomen.nc.gov/programslist.htm.

The map was updated to reflect the reassignment of programs to different region offices following the June 30 shut down of CFW’s Northeast Region office, located in Greenville. Closure of a regional office was required by the budget passed by the N.C. General Assembly.

“Our goal in updating the map is to make it easier for women and families who are at risk and need assistance from local providers,” said CFW Executive Director Jill Dinwiddie. “Grants formerly managed by the Northeast Region office have been redistributed to ensure that essential programs and services remain available to those in need.”

Grants managed will be redistributed by county as follows:
