Asheville filmmaker Kurt Mann is heading to Haiti on Dec. 31 — and hopes to take 250 solar bulbs with him to give to students and families.
To date, 161 bulbs have been donated (they cost $20 each).
Solar bulbs help families save money on fuel and overcome erratic electricity. They are suitable for students, street vendors, medical units. Every bulb will be hand delivered.
