Most notable in beer news is the announcement of Buncombe County's 10th brewery, to be located at the Thirty Monk:
"The Thirsty Monk has announced plans for a small “nanobrewery” to open this spring at the pub's south location, just off Hendersonville Road. Owner Barry Bialik is planning a variety of small-batch brews to be sold there and at the Monk's downtown operation."
