From the press release:
Asheville, NC - The SpringHill Suites and the Courtyard by Marriott in Asheville will host their first Bark-n-Art Night, Thursday, September 29, from 5-8 p.m. The evening of creativity and inspiration will showcase original artwork by local artists, and proceeds will benefit the Asheville Humane Society.
Artwork will be on display and for sale during the event, with a portion of artists' sales going to the charity. Humane Society volunteers will also be on hand to receive donations and introduce guests to some loveable pets available for adoption.
The event is part of a SpringHill Suites national initiative called ArtNight, designed to give local artists visibility, while exposing hotel guests to the area art scene. ArtNight was launched in 2010 and is celebrated during the month of September at SpringHill Suites properties around the country.
The event is open to the public. Appetizers from Carrabba's will be available, as well as appetizers and a cash bar at the Courtyard Bistro.
The Courtyard and SpringHill Suites are located adjacent to each other at One and Two Buckstone Place, just off of Tunnel Road, near the Asheville Mall. The Asheville hotels are managed by McKibbon Hotel Management, Inc. of Tampa, Florida.
For more information about the event or how to become a participating artist, contact SpringHill Suites General Manager John Zellers at (828) 253-4666.
