Bill Brooks, president and executive director of the N.C. Family Policy Council, which supports the amendment, said he hopes to see a positive campaign over the next eight months, focusing on the importance of traditional marriage.
Others are doubtful.

1. This is what comes of the merging of church and state.
2. A majority, no matter how holy, should not be able to vote to violate any minority's individual rights; such as the right to voluntarily enter into contracts.
