Progress Energy has its crew doing the last bit of remediation on the property donated to the City of Asheville several years back. PSNC owns the building adjacent to this property, across from CURVE studios & garden & next door to 12 Bones on Riverside Drive. Once this last bit of contaminated dirt (500 tons) is dug up and replaced, the City of Asheville will proceed with accepting the gift of the PSNC property & building, with the plan of taking down the fence and making access to the riverfront much easier here.Read the full article
