FRANKLIN — Federal officials said Thursday they have increased patrols in a remote national forest area of Macon County where a woman was raped.
But officials continued to release little information about the Sunday attack , saying they didn’t want to compromise the investigation.
Authorities have not released a description of the attacker and have not said whether the victim knew the man. Authorities also have declined to say whether the woman was a hiker, camper or was in the national forest for any other type of recreation. ...Read the full article
