Occupy Asheville, a local group affiliated with the international Occupy Together movement, formed on October 1. Today is dispatching a corporate clean up crew to deal with litter and garbage near the Merrill Lynch building in downtown Asheville at 11 am in preparation for a permanent occupation in the center of downtown.
Occupy Asheville is dedicated to liberating public space in peaceful protest and coordinating networks of resistance with our sister cities across the nation and globe.
