Planned Parenthood Action Fund in Asheville Presents:

THE STATE OF REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH - WHY 2012 MATTERS

During the 2011 legislative session, the anti-choice majority in the NC General Assemblylaunched an unprecedented attack on reproductive healthcare. Legislators in the House and the Senate passed three bills and three budget amendments that restrict access to reproductive services in our state.

This is a primary example of why elections matter. When we elect pro-choice legislators, we can work towards proactive legislation geared at improving healthcare in NC. When anti-choice legislators are in charge, we see unpredecented attacks on the valued services we provide the community.

What: Join us for a legislative panel discussion, with special guests Representative Susan Fisher and Representative Patsy Keever, about the repercussions of the 2011 legislative session and how we can avoid similar outcomes in 2012.

When: Wednesday, October 26, 2011 from 5:30-7:00pm

Where: Rumbaugh House, 49 Zillicoa Street, Asheville, NC 28801

This event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided.

Our work to protect reproductive rights and improve healthcare in NC continues, and you can help by joining us on Oct 26 and then educating your friends and family about the legislature's actions this year. We need to send a message to the legislature: we are watching, and attacking reproductive healthcare is not going to fly any longer!
