Asheville's WE DO campaign, with same-sex couples unsuccessfully filing marriage applications, has made national media again, with comedian and talk show host Ellen DeGeneres tweeting about the campaign to her 7.8 million followers and linking to a video the Campaign for Southern Equality made of the demonstrations. DeGeneres wrote:
Here's a peaceful demonstration for the right to marry. Why would anyone want to deny these people that right? http://bit.ly/ojuqKg
