Full announcement from the Asheville Police Department:
ASHEVILLE – APD Officers over the weekend made 30 x physical arrests for charges ranging from serious felonies involving LSD to misdemeanor possession charges during Moogfest activities.
The Arrest breakdown by day was:
Friday 9
Saturday 20
Sunday 1
Charges included:
Trafficking in Schedule 1 2
Poss. WIMSD Schedule 1 3
Poss. Schedule 2 2
Poss. Schedule 1 5
Intox. and Disruptive 9
Felony Poss. Schedule 6 5
Maintain Veh. Cont. Sub. 1
DWI 1
Poss. Drug Para. 7
Drugs seized include 100 dosage units of LSD and 116 dosage units of MDMA (Ecstasy)
The total number of citations issued are still being counted; however, most appear to be for Poss. Of Schedule VI (Marijuana) and violations of Open Container laws. The final total of all arrests and citations will be available later this week.
The Asheville Police Department would also like to thank both ALE and ABC Law Enforcement Officers for their assistance in policing this large event.

I'd say it was quite a success. LSD and MDMA off the street. 9 arrested for being intoxicated and disruptive, 1 DWI. Kudos to the APD for getting people off the street who were a danger to others! Wouldn't you agree?

So what you're saying is they arrested about 2% of the people who happened to be carrying drugs at the festival. I hope they're proud of themselves...
