MedWest offers winter health and fitness program

CLYDE, N.C. – MedWest Health System is offering “The Winter Meltdown” health and nutrition program beginning this month at the MedWest Health & Fitness Center in Clyde.

During the 12-week course, participants will learn what it takes to lead a healthy and active lifestyle. The program includes an initial fitness assessment, 12 30-minute personal training sessions, individualized weekly workouts, weekly dietary guidance and six educational seminars on nutrition, exercise and behavior change.

Cost of the course is $250 for members of the Health & Fitness Center and $300 for non-members.

Deadline to register is Nov. 18. Space is limited. For more information or to register, call (828) 452-8099. Once they have registered, participants can begin the program and move through at their own pace.

The MedWest Health & Fitness Center is located at 262 Leroy George Dr., on the MedWest-Haywood campus.

MedWest Health System provides healthcare for the people of western North Carolina at MedWest-Harris, MedWest-Haywood and MedWest-Swain hospitals, the outpatient facility MedWest-Franklin, and through the nearly 100-member MedWest Physician Network. MedWest is affiliated with Carolinas HealthCare System.
