NBA hall of famer, Dominique Wilkins, to speak in Asheville about living with diabetes

(ASHEVILLE, N.C.) — Hall-Of-Famer Dominique Wilkins, former Georgia Bulldog and NBA star well known in the sports world will be in Asheville on December 2 to tell Western North Carolina that it “is” possible to live a healthy and active life with diabetes.

Novo Nordisk® is bringing Dominique to the Asheville area. Crescent Health Solutions and WellPath are proud to partner with Novo Nordisk® and Dominique in the region’s fight against diabetes. Since being diagnosed with Type II diabetes 10 years ago, his life goal has been to transform the way people think about living with diabetes. His talk will be held at the Hilton at Biltmore Park from 8 a.m. – 10 a.m. on December 2.

“Having someone like Dominique share with Western North Carolina how to manage diabetes is another highlight of Crescent’s educational series,” said Myrna Harris, Crescent Health Solutions CEO. “At Crescent, we believe that better healthcare solutions are within reach for diabetes.”
