Henderson County Travel & Tourism announces:
The Henderson County Heritage Museum will host a Civil War Christmas in the Champion Hills Room. This will be an example of the American “home front’ in 1861, with a costumed Mother filling a box to send to her son who is fighting in the war. There will be a tree from that time with decorations such as oranges, corn husk angels, paper fans and cornucopias.

Civil War history comes alive at the Henderson County Heritage Museum through a special exhibit. Civil War artifacts from a private local collector will be featured throughout this exhibit. The Museum is observing the 150th Anniversary of the Civil War with never-before-seen artifacts
of military weaponry and uniforms that date back to the war.

The Henderson County Heritage Museum hours are Wednesday - Saturday from 10:00AM - 5:00 PM and Sunday 1:00PM - 5:00PM. There is no admission charge. For more information call 828-694-1619 or visit www.hendersoncountymuseum.org
