Bill McKibben, author of The End of Nature, The Global Warming Reader, and other defining books on the environment has become a galvanizing force in American politics. On tour, he will be visiting
Asheville on Wednesday, November 30 to speak at Lipinsky Hall, on the campus of UNCA. The program begins at 7:00 PM.
Preceding the event, WNCA will host a presentation by well-known regional ecologist, Dr. Edward Hauser, as part of the international "Climate Reality Project." Hauser will discuss climate change from an ecological perspective, including the loss of coral reefs, and solutions including conservation measures, energy efficiency and new technologies. The free presentation will take place from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the Humanities Lecture Hall within walking distance of Lipinsky Hall. We hope to see you there!
