Forecasters say snow is possible in the North Carolina mountains.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory beginning Wednesday afternoon for Watauga and Ashe counties. Forecasters say 2 to 4 inches of snow is possible along with winds gusting up to 40 mph.
