Chicken Support in Asheville (the local urban chicken club) will meet to discuss how to create a wholesale price-plus-shipping organic feed cooperative. Feed for goats, cows, pigs and horses is also planned.
According to the group's website, "The purpose of this group is to: share about local resources, meet other chickeners, ask questions, share knowledge, foster responsible and humane chickening, take occasional field trips, laugh about our chickens, and promote the joys and benefits of urban hens."
The December meeting is scheduled for Monday, Dec. 12, at 6:30 p.m.
