Katie Damien is a local video documentarian whose current project takes a close look at the case of CTS, the former electroplating facility that is the alleged source of environmental contamination in surface- and ground water in the Mills Gap community in South Asheville.
This Friday and Saturday, at the 7pm and 10pm movie showings at Asheville Pizza and Brewing Company, Damien will be screening a ten-minute cut from the documentary now underway. She'll be available before and after the movies with a table by the ticket booth to answer questions about the project. A professional photographer, Damien will also be offering some of her still work via raffle. Proceeds will benefit the completion of the video documentary project sometime next summer.
