Bartram's Walk land near Asheville may go on auction block

The Asheville Citizen-Times reports:

A federal bankruptcy court judge on Wednesday cleared the way for a creditor to foreclose on the controversial Bartram’s Walk development in Beaverdam.

The ruling by Judge George Hodges would typically be a prelude to developers Beaverdam Land Conservancy LLC losing control of the property in a foreclosure auction on the steps of the Buncombe County courthouse.

That could result in renewed efforts to sell lots in the mountainside development between Town Mountain and Wolfe Cove roads, although the market for home lots is probably even slower these days than the market for existing homes. ...
