According to the Hendersonville Times-News, there are now 4 vying for the NC 113 House seat now vacant due to the appointment of David Guice, R-Brevard to head the new NC parole system. Grady Hawkins of Henderson County, Ted Beddingfield of Polk County, and Chris Whitmire and Trudi Walend of Transylvania County have expressed interest in the seat.
