MeFine is an organization that assists families with children being treated at Duke and UNC children's hospitals. Many of the most critically ill children from our area are sent there, and it is a hardship on a family.
According to their website, the organization has recently assisted with: Paid three families light bills; Purchased four families gas cards; Purchased three families Visa gift cards; Paid two families rent; Sent five families diapers: Provided birthday gifts for 22 children; Gas cards for 11 families to offset travel expenses during treatment; Provided 6 families with Visa gift cards for groceries; and Helped with unexpected funeral expense for 1 family.
