Zirconia resident is organizing petition for investigation of Henderson Co. Sheriff's Office

Zirconia resident Tom Hill said he's been flooded with calls of support since he made more allegations of wrongdoing at the Henderson County Sheriff's Office during a Tuesday county commissioners' meeting.

Hill, 74, first launched the issue in December when he asked commissioners to disclose any information about a settlement that may have been made on behalf of Sheriff Rick Davis in a sexual harassment case. Commissioners then asked Davis to come forward with information, to which Davis said he wouldn't answer any questions as he sought treatment for manic bi-polar disorder.

On Dec. 22, Davis announced that he would seek a medical retirement by the end of this month...

Hill said he's is in the process of forming a petition to request a state investigation. He presented commissioners Tuesday with a copy of letters he wrote to both the board and the state Attorney General's Office alleging numerous illegal activities by the Sheriff's Office and calling for a formal investigation.
