Larsen, a therapist for children with autism, turned a cardboard shoebox over and over one day as he fiddled with ideas for activities that would focus his clients. What if a hole was cut into the top and a student could drop wooden blocks or discs through the slot?
That simple idea led Larsen to create a set of 16 activities, from dropping blocks through square holes to matching colored discs and outlines.
