SOUTH ASHEVILLE, North Carolina (19 January 2012) – Happy Body, a Pilates, yoga, and bodywork studio, moves into a second year of its signature program, Class for a Cause. The 2011 report has been released, and the studio is announcing its 2012 partner organization roster and new program parameters.
The mission of Class for a Cause is to embody the studio’s passion for giving back to the community, empowering individuals to enrich their own lives and the lives of others by creating an important correlation: Care for yourself. Care for your community. Funds donated come directly from Pilates mat and yoga class attendance.
Of the nearly $9,000 in funds and services donated by Happy Body in 2011, more than $4,000 came from Class for a Cause. The money goes to select area nonprofit organizations to be used as their needs dictate.
Building on the momentum of Class for a Cause in 2011, the design for 2012 is to partner with six local nonprofit organizations, each of which will be the featured agency for two months out of the year. These are: Open Doors of Asheville (January/July), Western Carolinians for Criminal Justice (February/August), T.H.E. Center for Disordered Eating (March/September), All Souls Counseling Center (April/October), Arts for Life (May/November), and Our Voice (June/December).
Each partner organization is guaranteed a minimum of 10% of the profits from Pilates mat and yoga class attendance for its two months, with the opportunity to earn a full 20% when five people new to Happy Body attend a class in support of a given agency. Thus, a true partnership is formed and community is strengthened.
Happy Body is dedicated to supporting people of all ages, abilities, and needs in finding their own happy, healthy, and pain-free bodies through movement, awareness, and ease. The studio offers private sessions and group classes in a variety of movement modalities, as well as multiple types of bodywork. 1378 Hendersonville Road : 828.277.5741 : www.ashevillehappybody.com : firstname.lastname@example.org
