USDA Forest Service announces:

Monday's Trails Workshop near Brevard Moved to New Location

To allow more people to participate, the USDA Forest Service National Forests in North Carolina has moved the Trails Strategy workshop scheduled for Monday, January 30 to a new location. The workshop will be held at the Brevard Community Church, 417 Morris Road, Pisgah Forest, N.C., from 6 p.m.-9 p.m.

The workshop was originally scheduled to be held at a hotel conference room near Brevard.

The Forest Service encourages participation by one representative from each trail group. Trail users or group members are encouraged to register today using the registration form posted online at: http://www.fs.usda.gov/Internet/FSE_DOCUMENTS/stelprdb5343920.pdf

In 2012, trail enthusiasts and others with knowledge of non-motorized trails in North Carolina have a chance to provide input on the Forest Service trail planning process. The Forest Service is hosting the public workshop at multiple locations around the Nantahala and Pisgah National Forests in January 2012.
