At 7:33 this morning, the Asheville Police Department reported via Twitter that a tractor trailer had overturned on Interstate 40, eastbound, at mile marker 47. The driver was conscious but trapped in his vehicle; at last report, crews were working to free him.

Asheville Police say earlier this morning the truck veered off the road and crashed through the guardrail, rolling onto a bank below.
