The fate of Asheville’s water system is on the line and community members are encouraged to speak out and take action for our water.
Join Asheville Green Drinks and the Western North Carolina Alliance to learn about the legislative study committee discussing the future of Asheville’s water system and what you can do to influence the outcome
There will be a public hearing on February 23 at the WNC Agricultural Center in Fletcher (see below), and we will talk at Green Drinks about the implications of different options for the system and the important messages to send the study committee when they are here. The committee will hold a total of four meetings before preparing its April report to the Legislature.
This program will be ACTION-oriented, with educational information followed by the opportunity to write letters and voice your opinion - we will have a few computers on hand.
