Here's the info via the WNC Alliance email newsletter:

The choices we make today shape the world we'll live in tomorrow. So how can we create the most sustainable society for our future?

The Western North Carolina Alliance is offering a course that can show you how. "Choices for Sustainable Living" is a seven-session course that highlights steps you can take to move toward more ecologically sustainable lifestyles at home, in the workplace and in the community. "Choices" is one of 11 course books offered by the Northwest Earth Institute.

This is a discussion-based course and we will explore different aspects of sustainability each class through readings, ideas and actions. Attendees will learn the meaning of sustainable living and the ties between lifestyle choices and their impact on the earth.

The group will meet from 6-7:30 p.m. on Tuesdays at the Battery Park Book Exchange & Champagne Bar in Asheville, starting March 13.

The cost is $30 for WNCA members and $35 for non-members.

Books will be handed out at the first meeting, but pre-registration is required. To register, contact course leader Joy Irby by calling 828-258-8737 or emailing joy@wnca.org no later than March 6.
