According to a press release, the summit is "an opportunity for networking and creative problem solving; for cross pollination, education, creation of sector advocacy, collaboration on initiatives and programs, to maximize funding opportunities, and as an opportunity for non-arts organizations to have a way to work with the sector effectively."
Two sessions will be held during the day. The morning session, from 10-11:30 a.m., includes presentations by Pam Myers of the Asheville Art Museum, Diane Ruggiero from the City of Asheville's Cultural Arts Division and Andrew Montrie speaking about Arts 2 People's Handcrafted Artisan Revitalization Program.
The afternoon session, from 2-5 p.m., features a cultural resources forms and breakout sessions dealing with arts programs and services, cultural resources and artist opportunities. See the full agenda here.
