These days you can still catch the Avetts on giant stages, but since Vincent's shuttered and the White Stripes officially disbanded, it was seeming like that opportunity was long past.
But just this morning The Orange Peel announced that half of the White Stripes — the Jack White half, on tour in support of Blunderbuss, which drops April 23 — will grace its stage on Saturday, May 19. Showtime is 9 p.m., tickets are $40 and available at noon this Friday.
