We invite you to join us for an Interfaith Vigil this Sunday in remembrance of Trayvon Martin, the African American teenager who was shot and killed recently in Sanford, Florida.

An ecumenical group of area religious leaders will pray with us, rally, and speak out for justice in a nonviolent way.

In solidarity with Trayvon, please wear a hoodie.

Trayvon Martin is the latest in a long line of unarmed African-American teenagers killed for the crime of being black.

Here's a short video about another young man, this one named Emmett Till, who was killed while visiting his cousins in Mississippi.

The facts are different, the results are different, but somehow the story never changes.

Asheville PARC made this video for Black History Month last year.
