Apodaca Ranked Second Most Effective Senator
Is the highest ranking senator from the N.C. mountains in last 25 years
Raleigh, N.C. – Sen. Tom Apodaca (R-Henderson), chairman of the Senate Rules Committee, is ranked the second most effective senator in North Carolina according to a new survey released by the N.C. Center for Public Policy Research. This makes Apodaca the highest ranking senator from the North Carolina mountains in at least the last 25 years.
“Sen. Apodaca’s high effectiveness ranking reflects the outstanding job he has done representing not only his constituents, but all North Carolinians,” said Senate President Pro Tempore Phil Berger (R-Rockingham). “Sen. Apodaca is one of my closest advisors and his leadership is instrumental to the enormous progress we’re making in getting government to live within its means and enabling the private sector to create jobs.”
The results of the biennial survey are based on responses from legislators, registered lobbyists, and journalists who cover state government. Respondents were asked to rate their colleagues’ skill in guiding bills through committee, general knowledge and expertise in special fields, and the respect they command from peers.
