Not sure how to kick off the weekend? Two local (and notably bearded) artists celebrate openings downtown this evening, offering booze, music and, of course, plenty to look at.
Push Skate Shop hosts an opening party for Pink Fog, new drawings by local musician and artist Andy Herod. The celebration will include drinks, snacks and a DJ set by the artist. 7-10 p.m.

To the north, Dustin Spagnola — recently voted Best Visual Artist in the Xpress' Best of WNC readers' poll and the man behind a host of socio-political downtown murals — debuts an exhibition of new urban contemporary works at Satellite Gallery. The exhibition remains on display through the weekend of May 13. 7-10:30 p.m.
