It's taking me too long to write this blog post because I'm watching clips of Aziz Ansari online. It's distracting from the afternoon's task — telling you why you should go to Ansari's show at the Thomas Wolfe Auditorium on Saturday, April 21. Really, you should just go to his Tumblr and check out some of the clips.

Ansari co-stars on the hilarious Parks and Recreation, and you should watch those episodes, too ... TV Guide called him a "scene stealer" in that show. So yes, I just quoted TV Guide, but it's true: the side plots involving Haverford have been some of the funniest moments on the series. Watch! (Or better yet, pick up a full season at Orbit, TV Eye or Rosebud!)

It's not just Parks and Rec, though. He makes the rounds on the late-night circuit, hitting up Letterman, Conan and Jimmy Kimmel. He's had big moments on http://www.funnyordie.com. He's got a new hourlong standup piece called Dangerously Delicious that you can grab for $5 from his website. Or pick up 2010's Intimate Moments for a Sensual Evening, to get a feel for him.

People, it just won't be the same without you. See you Saturday.

    • Aziz Ansari,
      I'm sorry.
      I have rickets,
      I didn't buy tickets.
But I can still laugh high
      Like a Giraffe, high.
      Do I still deserve,
      a chance to observe,
      your've words of the absurd?
