The players arrived at Mission Children's Hospital around 10:30 a.m. About 10 minutes later, they moved to the play room and a few minutes after that, they met Kanyus.
At first, Kanyus was a little shy.
But once Kanyus found a ball, it became clear that he wanted to play a game of catch with the minor league baseball players.
Turns out, he also really liked bubbles.
Instead of trying to pop the bubbles when they came near him, Kanyus tried to blow them away.
The players also played a round of Sorry! with Joy. Both Joy and Kanyus wanted their picture made.
However, the players didn't stay in the play room. They also made a few rounds to other kids in Mission Children's Hospital.
During the rounds, two players met a young man named Trent.
He took an instant liking to rightfielder David Kandilas because, his mother said, Kandilas looked a lot like his brother. While Kandilas spoke to him, Trent did not let go of his hand.
They also met Cody, who has been in the hospital since Sunday.
Though Cody can't move his left arm right now, he was more than happy to show the players what a strong thrower he was despite being in the hospital. For many of the players, this was their first visit to Mission Children's Hospital.
