Rest up this weekend, because Truth & Salvage Co. comes back to Asheville for a mid-week show next week — Wednesday, June 14. You're going to need all of your energy reserves for the dancing and beer hoisting and singalongs.

Big changes are afoot: The band recently relocated from L.A. to Nashville, putting them closer to their Asheville friends and their roots (read about how they went from an N.C.-based hokum band to a Calif.-based country-rock act here). They're also at work on a follow up to their 2010 Chris Robinson-produced self-titled debut.

And they have a new bassist — Dean Moore.
And drummer Smitty got engaged.
And keyboardist Walker got a new cowboy hat.
And they've added some new material to their setlist, like a cover of the Rolling Stones' "Sweet Virginia."

(What they don't have is a new promo shot, so we pulled this one from their Facebook page.)

Okay, so to recap: New material, new bass player, new East Coast-ish home base and a Wednesday, June 14 show in Asheville, at The Grey Eagle. 9 p.m., $10 in advance or $12 day of show. Self-described "musical omnivore" Patrick Sweany opens.
