Way back in 1913, Fred Seely and Edwin Wiley Grove had a dream. They imagined The Grove Park Inn, a hotel nestled in the beauty of Western Carolina dedicated to recreation and the benefits of mountain air.

99 years later, their legacy lives on. The Grove Park Inn has blossomed into a destination for people near and far who want a respite from the outside world. The inn now features elegant rooms, fine dining, a spa and incredible views.

There are plenty of reasons for The Grove Park Inn to celebrate, namely this momentous anniversary. The Inn will open its doors on Saturday, July 7 for a day of music, beer, cake and fireworks.

2-5 p.m. - The Main Inn fills with music from vintage jazz quintet One Leg Up in the Great Hall.
2-4 p.m. - 99 Bottles of Beer local brew tasting, featuring Highland, French Broad and Green Man ales on Elaine's Terrace.
5 p.m. - A birthday toast including complimentary champagne and birthday cake in the Great Hall.
5:30-7:30 p.m. - Bill Covington performs piano standards in the Great Hall.
9:30 p.m. - An exceptional fireworks display from mountain-facing windows and terraces.
8-11 p.m. - Ruby Slippers performs jazz and R&B in the Great Hall.

All events are free and open to the public. Info: www.groveparkinn.com
