REI is hosting Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tours' Radical Reels at Carolina Cinemas on Hendersonville Road. All proceeds from the event are going to making greenways happen in Buncombe County through Connect Buncombe. The Radical Reels program is made up of short, action-packed climbing, paddling, mountain biking, BASE jumping, skiing, snowboarding, and other adrenaline sport films that feature a fresh approach, a new sport, and a radically independent spirit.

Connect Buncombe is the Buncombe County Government's outreach and involvement campaign for the greenways program managed by Buncombe County Parks, Greenways and Recreation Services Office (BCPGRS). The goal of Connect Buncombe is to make citizens aware of the beneficial impacts greenways will have on their County. The goal is to bring everyone together including businesses, non-profit groups and organizations to help create a countywide system of connected trails and greenways.
