LAAFF organizers face $10,000+ shortfall, Citizen-Times reports

On Sept. 5, the Ashvegas blog reported that Arts2People — organizers of the annual Lexington Avenue Arts and Fun Festival — were asking for donations on its Facebook page. Today, Sept. 6, blogger and Asheville Citizen-Times staff Jason Sandford report:

The nonprofit that produces one of the city’s most unique downtown festivals needs to raise $10,000 to $15,000 to keep the event alive, the nonprofit’s executive director said Wednesday.

Jennifer Gordon leads the nonprofit Arts2People and produced the annual Lexington Avenue Arts and Fun Festival, which is meant to be a fundraiser for the organization.
