from UNC Asheville News ServicesPaul Rozin, University of Pennsylvania professor of psychology, presents “Food is Good (Not Bad) To Eat, and Natural Isn’t Always Good” at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, in UNC Asheville’s Humanities Lecture Hall.
Rozin, who has studied attitudes toward chocolate, meat, water, the evolution of disgust and other related topics, will address the debate over benefits of natural food, and psychological factors involved in the pleasure of eating. Rozin has been a member of the University of Pennsylvania faculty since 1970; he earned his doctoral degree in biology and psychology from Harvard University.
Rozin’s talk is sponsored by UNC Asheville’s psychology honor society, Psi Chi, the Psychology Club and the Department of Psychology. This event is free and open to the public.
