"There are 47% who are with him [Obama], who are dependent on government, who believe that, that they are victims... My job is not to worry about those people.” — Mitt Romney
Mitt Romney has done it again: he’s found a way to offend millions of Americans struggling in a recession his policies helped create. I find these comments shocking — yet, unsurprising...
It’s what we expect from out-of-touch Republicans like Romney and Congressman McHenry.
Neither of these men know what it is like to suffer in a recession like this one, and it shows in the policies they support. I am disgusted that these men would go behind closed doors with wealthy corporate donors to launch divisive attacks on hardworking middle-class Americans.
Sign our petition demanding Congressman McHenry reject Romney’s comments!
How can you possibly serve the people of this country when you blatantly attack half the nation as victims? Our elected leaders are supposed to represent all of us, not shamelessly divide this country.
With such disdain, we have seen Mitt Romney and Congressman McHenry attacking the middle-class. From pledging to end Medicare and Social Security to attempting to radically raise taxes on working families, these two have systematically tried to kill the middle-class.
Congressman McHenry has a chance — a chance to redeem himself. To set things right.
Will you stand with the 47% of Americans Mitt Romney and Congressman McHenry have such disdain for? Will you stand up for working Americans? Sign our petition today.
I don’t have a lot of faith that Congressman McHenry will rise to the occasion right now.
But I believe you will.
Your heart and dedication to this country and our campaign will help us defeat Congressman McHenry in November — and stop the divisive assault on the middle-class.
