Illusionist Jason Bishop and his lovely assistant Kim Hess will bring their magic to Western Carolina University on Sunday, Oct. 7. Be prepared for audience participation and don't miss Bishop' signature double levitation illusion which will be projected onto multiple LCD screens.

Jason Bishop became fascinated with sleight of hand as a child and quickly found role models in the world of magic. “I looked up to great magicians from the past and even today, like David Copperfield,” Bishop said. He went on to hone his craft at amusement parks, resorts and on the street.

Paul Lormand, director of WCU's Bardo Arts Center, has high hopes for the performance. “Everything about this show is fun, from the card tricks to the ‘big’ illusions to the way Jason interacts with the audience," says Lormand.

Jason Bishop will take over the WCU stage on Sunday, Oct. 7 at 7:30 p.m. $20;$15 WCU faculty and staff ; $5 children and students. Info: bardoartscenter.wcu.edu or 227-2479.
