Moogfest returns to downtown Asheville next weekend (Friday and Saturday, Oct. 26 and 27), with two full days of music (of course) as well as panel discussions, visual art, experimental instruments, science and day shows.
Xpress publishes our official guide in our Oct. 24 issue — everything you need to know about the musicians. Plus select interviews. And events. You can carry it with you, if you want.
But we've also got lots of extras right here. Follow us online all weekend for on-the-ground coverage. And check out our blog in advance for band bios, advance videos, Q&As (Dan Boeckner from Divine Fits!) and stories (Invisible presents The New Obsolete!) and unofficial shows, too.
Here's a scoop: Local arts collective SWAMPING presents Haunted Days: two afternoons of local music at Apothecary (39 S Market St # B, Asheville). The free, all-ages shows run from 2-7 p.m.
• On Friday, Oct. 26: Morbids, Chorus House, Alligator Indian, The Decent Lovers and Albert Adams.
• On Saturday, Oct. 27: Housefire, Thai Food Duo, The Charlotte Hornets, Date Night and Balloon Animal Farm.
