Be transported back to the 1880s when toys were wooden and wagons ruled the road. Historic Johnson Farm's Christmas festival on Saturday, Dec. 1 has everything you need to experience an authentic Christmas, from fresh greens to crafts to cider and music.
A wreath walk will show off the farm's historic buildings, which will be decked out with greenery decorated by children from Henderson County Schools. Original Johnson family toys will be on display and a bake sale will fill the air with the smell of fresh baked cookies.
Johnson Farm is located at 3346 Haywood Road, Hendersonville. The festival runs Saturday, Dec. 1 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. $5 adults; $3 children; preschoolers free. Info: www.historicjohnsonfarm.org or 891-6585.
