Full announcement from Riverlink:
Please join us at St. Luke's Church, Wednesday January 23rd, 5pm-7pm to learn about the Ross Creek Stormwater Improvement Project within Chunns Cove and Kenilworth Neighborhood. Ross Creek Watershed is a highly urbanized watershed that extends from the I-240 cut to Swannanoa River Road, and includes Tunnel Road and the Chunns Cove and Kenilworth neighborhoods. RiverLink received funding to implement portions of the 2007 Ross Creek Master Plan from the Clean Water Management Trust Fund. This includes the design and implementation of a stormwater wetland and stream enhancement on property at the corner of Waverly and Lakewood Dr, and a wet swale at St. Luke's Episcopal Church. Since 1995 Ross Creek has been designated as impaired by the EPA and NCDENR Division of Water Quality. Stormwater BMPs, stream enhancement and conservation of the stream riparian corridor will improve the water quality in Ross Creek, through reducing stormwater runoff and filtering runoff through soil prior to entering the stream.
Please join us at St. Luke's Church, Wednesday January 23rd, 5pm-7pm to learn more about the projects, provide input, ask questions, and talk with the designers. St. Luke's Church Main Office, 219 Chunns Cove Rd, Asheville, NC
If you have any additional questions. Please email Nancy at nancy@riverlink.org
