Xpress sent veteran photog Daniel Coston to shoot The Who last month in Washington, D.C. Here's his dispatch.
"It took me 15 years, with a lot of near-misses in-between, but I finally got to photograph a Who concert. And yes, the wait was worth it. The Who sounded great in their revival of the 1973 concept album Quadrophenia. It seems that singer Roger Daltrey has grown as a bandleader, while guitarist Pete Townshend still attacks his guitar with a focused energy. While I would definitely like to hear more songs from the rest of the band's career, a Who show is still a Who show, and was worth the trip."
