Motorcyclists Kick Start 2013 With A Blessing: 4th Annual Blessing of the Bikes at Harley-Davidson of Asheville
Asheville, NC — As Easter fades into the rearview, motorcyclists are looking forward to the 4th Annual Blessing of the Bikes at Harley-Davidson of Asheville. Many will notice the change in venue from MR Motorcycle in previous years. The Blessing will provide an opportunity for all motorcyclists to be blessed for a safe riding season and an opportunity for fellowship while promoting bike safety, along with a positive image of motorcycling to the community. 100% of all donations will benefit the Asheville Buncombe Community Christian Ministry (ABCCM).
This nondenominational ceremony is open to all riders, all ages and all makes and models of motorcycles, including dirt, street and custom bikes.
There will be several ministers on site from various organizations such as the Asheville Buncombe Community Christian Ministry, the Christian Motorcyclists Association (CMA) and the Freedom Biker Church.
A catered lunch will be provided for a minimum donation of $10 in either cash or hygiene items (tooth brushes, tooth paste, dental floss, shaving cream, disposable razors, aftershave, deodorant, cologne, Tums/Rolaids, alcohol-free mouthwash, shampoo, bar soap, laundry soap, etc.).
The event is scheduled from 2pm-4pm, rain or shine, with live music by Turnbridge, a live simulcast by 95.7 FM The Choice, food by Okie Dokies Smokehouse, prizes and a 50/50 drawing. After the event, attendees are invited to an ice cream to meet the residents at the Veterans’ Restoration Quarters (VRQ) at 1329 Tunnel Road.
